Last night, the Upper Pottsgrove Fire Company was called to Fulton Bank at State St. and RT100 at 1909hrs for a vehicle fire. Engine 79-2 responded and was recalled shortly after, determining that the vehicle was not on fire. The Company then held its weekly training drill at Sanatoga Lake in Lower Pottsgrove. New drivers practiced drafting from the lake and also practiced pump operations. 2028hrs the company was dispatched to an accident with injuries at Yarnall Rd and Maugers Mill Rd. Engine 79-2 and Tanker 79 responded while Engine 79-3 broke down the training site and returned to station. As the crews were leaving the accident, fire police called in a house fire at a vacant property at Snyder and Yarnall Rd. Engine 79-2, Engine 79-3 and Tanker 79 responded to the call. Upon arrival E79-2 and DC79 confirmed the working fire. The fire was knocked down quickly by Upper Pottsgrove crews as well as personnel from Ringing Hill Fire Co. (STA 59), Sassamansville Fire Co. (STA 68), Phillies Fire Co. (STA 69-B) and Goodwill Fire Co. (STA 69-A) All units were back in station by 0130hrs.
